Licensed Outpatient DV and DUI treatment in Colorado
Begin Your Journey Here
We use evidence-based and research-informed therapies based on the RNR model to help our clients reduce their risk for reoffending and rebuild relationships in community. It starts with a court Referral and a signed Release of Information that allows us to coordinate care with supervisors, medical staff, and third-party entities. Recommendations for treatment intervention are based on client self-report, case details, assessment scores, collateral documentation, and evaluation findings.
Our one-on-one therapy sessions provide a safe space for clients to explore their emotions, behaviors, and thoughts.
Utilizing CBT, mindfulness, trauma-informed, and motivational interviewing techniques, we foster personal growth and positive change. We have advanced training in the areas of substance abuse, relationships, and online learning.
We provide adjunctive second clinical contacts for DV and EOP requirements.
DUI Program
We offer Level-II Education & Therapy treatment designed to support individuals in understanding and correcting their behavior.
Our substance abuse services fulfill requirements for Level-II Tracks A, B, C, and D. We provide supportive SUD services for Track F clients under the umbrella of a licensed Four-Plus agency. We offer substance abuse evaluations.
Substance abuse treatment adheres to ASAM standards and licensure regulations, as required by the Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) and Colorado Revised Statutes (C.R.S).
Yes, while clients are welcome to call and make inquiries, we need a court Referral and signed Release of Information (ROI) before they can make and attend their Intake appointment. Submit the court sentencing Referral for your client through Reliatrax.
Are you licensed to work with LGBTQ+ clients?
Ten Brothers is not credentialed for and does not offer DV treatment specific to the needs of LGBTQ+ populations. We are authorized to provide male-specific and female-specific DV treatment. We do use a trauma-informed lens to unpack related trauma that often underlies presenting symptoms and interferes with identity development during our individual therapy sessions.
Do you conduct Pre-Sentence DV evaluations?
Ten Brothers is licensed to provide Post-Sentence DV Evaluations and DV Treatment. Most requests for DV evaluations from DHS or pre-trial clients are Pre-Sentence in nature and we are unable to accommodate those requests.
Are you a Four-Plus/Track F licensed DUI agency?
Ten Brothers can provide Level-II Education and Therapy for clients mandated to Tracks A, B, C, or D. We are not a Four-Plus or Track F licensed DUI agency at this time. However, we can provide substance abuse therapy services under the umbrella of agencies that are licensed for 4+ DUIs and work in tandem with the Four-Plus licensed agencies to meet their clientls' Track F requirements.
Do you offer teletherapy for groups and individual sessions?
Ten Brothers is credentialed to offer therapy services by telehealth; however, many factors determine whether a client is a suitable candidate for the teletherapy modality. The main factor is risk level -- DV clients who are Level C and DUI clients who are Track D or F are required to attend in-person. Additionally, a client might start out in teletherapy, but should their attendance and participation decrease or risk level increase, they may be required to come into the office thereafter. Another factor is location -- clients need to live within a reasonable distance from the office (about 20 mi or max 1 hour drive in rush hour) to enroll in any services whether they are eligible for teletherapy or not. Another factor is tech skills -- if a client is unable to navigate the Zoom platform, operate their Smartphone or other device, or access Internet/WiFi services and maintain connectivity, they are not a good candidate for teletherapy.
Do you take clients who need Level-II services who are not on Probation?
Ten Brothers does not enroll clients in the DUI program who are working on license reinstatement for DMV-only. If an individual is under supervision for a non-DUI offense and wants to enroll in Level-II services for an old DUI charge and their PO/case manager is in agreement, we can discuss this on a case-by-case basis.
Are clients limited to the county that your office is in?
Ten Brothers' clients need to live within a reasonable distance from the office (approx 20 miles or max 1 hour drive in rush hour) to enroll in any services whether they are eligible for teletherapy or not. If a client's attendance and participation decreases or risk level increases, they need to be able to attend by in-person modality. Our office is on the border of Adams and Jefferson Counties and a reasonable drive from Broomfield, Boulder, and Denver Counties.
Can clients bring food and drink into groups?
Ten Brothers does not allow clients to eat meals during group. Snacks are permitted. All beverages must be contained in closed-lid spill-proof bottles or containers.
Do clients need to be clean and sober to enroll in services?
Ten Brothers' policy is for clients to abstain from all substances except prescription medication while in treatment and to participate in monitored sobriety. Clients who struggle with stimulant abuse at time of enrollment or who become addicted after enrollment may have their treatment plans modified to reflect the need for a higher level of care, such as Medication Assisted Treatment, psychotropic medication management, or medically-assisted detox and withdrawal in a residential facility. Often people struggling with severe addiction are not appropriate candidates for any kind of group therapy. This will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
Do you offer couples' counseling?
Ten Brothers provides services for adult male and female individuals mandated to treatment by the courts. We do not offer couples' counseling. Additionally, DV clients are not permitted to engage in couples' counseling per DVOMB Standards.
Do you work with adolescents or teengers?
Ten Brothers works with adult males and females over 18 years of age. We accept post-sentence DV and DUI clients who are under 21 but over 18 and have been sentenced to treatment by the courts. We do not have programs for teenagers/adolescents at this time and do not offer school-based services.
Do you offer DV victim services?
Ten Brothers works with offenders who have been mandated to treatment by the courts. Our end goal is to promote public safety, containment, and recidivism while also ensuring the safety of the victims. While we work closely with Victim Advocates to protect victims, we do not offer therapy or support services specifically for victims of violent crimes.
